This was a perfect…start the year off right…healthy muffin! These are sturdy, and hearty, and pointy-topped.
These pack a punch of healthful ingredients: whole wheat flour, wheat bran, oats, sunflower seeds, flax seeds, and sesame seeds…sweetened up with some cinnamon, brown sugar, maple syrup, and dried cranberries.
The batter is easy enough to mix together, and bakes up 12 golden brown, pointy topped muffins.

The muffins were a bit polarizing…not really any middle ground. People either really liked them, or didn’t quite care for them. 🤷♀️
No worries though, everyone is always happy to taste the new bake…always! 😍
Happy New Year!
Your muffins look beautiful! I can’t wait to try making them. Although, in my house everyone goes for sweet treats, so I am a bit worried about the reaction I will get.
Oh, I am so envious…I was hoping for just the look you got, nice high peaks and fissures! But mine didn’t do as well…I was afraid they would be dry if I let them keep baking. I’m going to get a new can of baking powder and one of baking soda and see if that helps because I REALLY WANT MINE TO LOOK LIKE YOURS!!!!
So interesting that they were divisive! I loved these. Yours look great!
I liked them, too.
they look perfect, I’d be a taker!
ooh but they look just like the textbook! Were they tooo healthy?? It seemed like it would be good warm with jam or even nutella; okay so this would make it less healthy.
I liked them with a little butter…which you are right kind of negates the healthy part haha.
Wow those are great looking muffins. Sturdy and hearty are great descriptions. We liked them best with jam.
